CoupleVerified bookingLast week5/5We booked an early entry time of 8am and then discovered that breakfast at our accommodation wasn't until 7.30am. We were concerned that we couldn't do both! But you get up to an hour from your scheduled entry time so all worked out well! The car park is a 5 minute walk away and you pay on exit. The charge is 1.50€ per hour. We stayed seven hours so paid 10.50€. The park is beautiful and easy to get around with lots of boardwalks to follow. We enjoyed the leisurely boat ride and were grateful for the train ride back, although it is more like a bus than a train! There is plenty to see with four trails to choose from, graded according to length and difficulty. It is well sign posted but despite that, we kept losing the trail we'd chosen. In the end we decided to just relax and enjoy what was in front of us! I was expecting spectacular waterfalls. You don't get that. There are lots of small waterfalls, lakes and trees. It was still a great day out enjoying nature and the open air. Well worth it!BBhavana K
CoupleVerified booking2 weeks ago5/5Outstanding Tour & Thoughtful, Attentive Guide! We booked a day tour to Plitvice Lakes National Park from Zadar, and it exceeded our expectations. The bus ride was smooth and comfortable, and our guide was wonderful. Because we had landed early that morning and had a sleepless night prior, we were pretty exhausted and just wanted a quiet, low-key experience rather than a super interactive tour. Our guide was incredibly observant and respectful—recognizing that we needed rest, they kept their voice gentle and gave us plenty of space to relax without feeling pressured to chat. At the same time, the guide was extremely knowledgeable about the park and expertly adapted the routes and walking pace to suit our group. Plitvice itself is breathtaking. The walk around the lakes is a must-do—it offers a total reset for your mind, crisp fresh air, and vibrant natural colors that don't even look real. Highly recommended for anyone staying in Zadar!IInna T
CoupleVerified booking3 weeks ago5/5Paradise on earth! This is the best place I have ever seen in my life! Among dense green forests, between cliffs lie sixteen lakes, connected to each other by dozens of waterfalls and streams. The unreal turquoise color of the lakes is incredibly impressive. The water is so clear that you can see stones, tree roots, and fish swimming peacefully through it. Wooden bridges lead you right over the water, and every turn reveals a new picture — another lake, another waterfall. Nature has created a small piece of a fairy tale here! I lived for a few hours in another world: a very clean, peaceful, and untouched one. There are places you just visit, and there are those that remain in your heart forever! This is how untouched nature should be all over the earth! This is how we should protect, cherish, admire, and fear harming every animal and every plant, because we, humans, are only guests on this planet!MMatteo B
CoupleVerified booking2 weeks ago5/5We came to Plitvice from Italy, because we had to go to Zagreb. It was a long but very rewarding detour. We think this national park is an absolute must-see when visiting Croatia. We entered via Entrance 3 near Plitvice Selo. As it was end-autumn there were no crowds and we experienced no queues at all. We followed track C, so we took immediately the boat. We did both the Lower and Upper Lakes. The route features scenic wooden boardwalks across crystal-clear turquoise waters, a boat crossing over the lake and a panoramic train return. We also took the short detour to the Upper Lakes lookout point (highly recommended, 40 minutes total for us instead of the 1 hour indicated): it delivers breathtaking elevated panoramas of the lakes and waterfalls. The park is exceptionally well-maintained, and the route is well-marked.HHélène L
GroupVerified booking2 weeks ago5/5The staff at the reception desk scanning electronic tickets were really nice to us, even though we arrived an hour and a half late for our reserved tour time. Our visit, which started at Entrance 2 - Route H, was simply fantastic! The beauty of the park and the incredible color of the lakes are the highlights of the visit. We went on September 22, and there was very little wait for the bus and the boat. We took a break at P3 (the boat stop) and grabbed a bite to eat at the bistro. The food was good: hamburger, fries, prosciutto sandwich, coffee, and beer. It was a very pleasant break. And the end of Route H is just as breathtaking! What a beautiful day.
